Creative. Motivated. Innovative.

A little bit about me.

I attended University of Wisconsin-Stout (Menomonie, WI) and received a BFA in Graphic Design. Ever since I was a child, I enjoyed drawing and painting as well as computer technology. I remember the days of AOL and chat rooms and going over my allotted minutes (I hope you all remember AOL...or I am really dating myself here...and YES it came out of my allowance). This has evolved into a strong involvement and interest in web and social media. It only seemed natural that I would study graphic design in college and beyond. I concentrated on print design in college, but my interest in web design remained strong. I moved to the Twin Cities area in August of 2009. In May of 2010, I received a Web Development Certificate at Minneapolis Community and Technical College.

The user is the main focus.

Project materials must be created to inform and motivate. This is necessary in both print and web. This information needs to be conveyed in an attractive and organized manner. The main focus of any project is the user.

Websites need to be user friendly. I cannot emphasize this enough. A website needs to look attractive as well as easy to use. There has been a lot of research on the short attention span of a typical user. Users need to find the information they need very quickly. There isn’t much tolerance for a confusing website.

I love helping businesses develop their identity and web presence.

Websites need to have clear communication by providing information users want. Simple, consistent page design and clear navigation are a must. Remember the saying: ''You have one chance to make a good first impression"...it is so true in web design.

I will create work that makes lasting impressions. Contact me with any questions that you have or for a project quote.
