Project description: Choose.ly was a company created at Startup Weekend 2 in Minneapolis. Choose.ly is a tool that helps coordinate get-togethers. Rather than a long email chain between people, Choose.ly makes it easy to find the time and place. People can vote on ideas for locations as well as times to meet.
Role in Project: Designed logo with the idea of combining time and making a choice. The check mark represents making a choice. With the arrows on the end, the check mark looks like clock hands.
Sit for Something logo
Project description: This logo was created for a fundraising company called Sit for Something. Focusing on education, SFS uses movie theaters to raise money for good causes.
Role in Project: Created concept and also chose color and type. Logo was designed to incorporate the traditional glamor that movie theaters had. To achieve this, bold red was chosen as well as the idea of light bulbs in "Something".
CartBrain logo
Project description: This logo was done for an Andriod Ap that was started at Startup Weekend 1 in St. Paul. The ap is made to make grocery shopping and coupon redemption easier. The logo incorporates the idea of smart shopping.
Role in Project: Created concept, chose colors, and drew graphics. Helped solidify concept for the application and also created graphics for the ap.
Up-Trak logo
Project description: This was done for a start up company. The logo incorporates the idea of many entrances and the design was intended to have the viewer's eye move upward.
Role in Project: Came up with concept, colors, and custom lettering. Both the client and I wanted type that was unique to the company.
Science Songs Logo
Project description: The Science Song books contain lyrics to new educational songs. The melodies of popular songs were changed to lyrics that teach students basic science concepts.
Role in Project: Created logo design as well as designed the books. The logo was designed to combine elements of music and science. Text was curved to represent the flow of music. Musical note represented the nucleus with the electron orbit circling it.
Green Fountain Logo
Project description: Green Fountain is a company that specializes in fundraiser planning.
Role in Project: Logo incorporates the idea of a fountain and money. The f and o are connected by shapes that represent coins that fill the hollow o. The n and f are connected, this connection represents the connect between the fund raiser and monetary goals.
Hidden in Nature
Project description: The logo was designed for a Capstone Publishers book series titled "Hidden in Nature". The series was about different animals that camouflaged themselves in their various habitats.
Role in Project: Designed the book series and logo. Leaf shape was chosen to represent nature and the text was contained in it to represent how animals adapt to their surroundings.
Circle M Marketing
Project description: Circle M Marketing is a developing company that specializes in marketing strategy as well as social media.
Role in Project: Designed logo with the idea of growth and breaking boundaries. The idea of growth is important since the company is responsible for helping businesses grow their marketing strategy and social media outlets.
MG Restaurant
Project description: MG is short for Mardi Gras. The restaurant has a fun and upbeat feel to it. Mardi Gras is a step above casual dining, but not too fancy.
Role in Project: It is a restaurant and bar, so food and drink were incorporated into the logo. Type used was modern and basic to give the logo an updated feel.
Grob's Dance Hall
Project description: Grob's Dance Hall was a place in Menomonie, WI in the early 1900's. Although it does not exist, the object was to design something that looked like something from that time.
Role in Project: Designed logo with a ribbon and serif typefaces because that is what was used at the time. Decorative elements were used as well as lines that made it look engraved.
Luminous Concepts
Project description: Logo concept for a company specializing in custom lighting. Lighting was created from customers specifications.
Role in Project: Designed logo that incorporated the idea of light. Bright colors were chosen to represent illumination.
Back 40 Nursery & Landscaping Logo
Project description: Back 40 specializes in landscaping as well as having a retail nursery.
Role in Project: Designed company identity and website. The letters fit together like landscaping pavers. Leaves were incorporated to represent greenery that is in the nursery.
