Project description: ABDO Publishing's Spring 2010 Magic Wagon Catalog. Shown here are front cover, back cover, and two imprint pages. 72 page catalog.
Role in Project: Designed both the cover and interior. Updated the look of the front matter to look more contemporary. While a complete redesign of the catalog was not part of the project, there will be a gradual change the catalog each season. Responsible for concepting, design, proofing, production, and communication with the printer.

ABDO iBook Brochure
Project description: ABDO Publishing's iBook brochure. Brochure was mailed to school libraries to advertise interactive titles available on CD or for download. Brochure explained how to use interactive books as well as special features this type of format offers.
Role in Project: Came up with look and feel of brochure. Used bright colors so this would stand out since librarians get a lot of mailing. Wanted a modern and innovative look for this new format. Since this interactive format is relatively new to school libraries, the brochure is arranged in a way that information is easily found and read. Order form was designed for ease of ordering. Created template, executed design, and also was responsible for sending file to print.

Global Connections
Project description: The project consisted of a bookmark and two posters for Global Connections, a new Compass Point Books series. The topic of the series was lives of teenagers in various countries.
Role in Project: Created logo and concept for new book series. The inside of the O in Global changed colors depending on the title. This represented the different cultures and traditions of different countries. In addition, books covered evolving traditions and how teens compromise between old traditions and modern life. After concept was developed, the design was translated into a coordinating look for marketing materials.

Mother Goose Bookmarks
Project description: Picture Window Books bookmarks for advertising the Mother Goose Rhymes series.
Role in Project: Created bookmark layout from existing logo and illustrated book art. Bold colors were used rather than traditional soft colors. This way the books appealed to a broader age range.
Sit for Something Poster
Project description: This is a poster that was created to advertise the event for the School of Rock fundraiser.
Role in Project: Designed poster to inform people of time, place, and other important information. Designed with the intention of looking like a rock poster that would appeal to all ages.
Checker Set
Project description: JJ Keller Checker Set was a premium given out to customers. The checker pieces were metal and checker pieces are original and unique to the company. Checker board folds in half and checkers can be stored inside. Board is equipped with a handle for easy carrying.
Role in Project: Designed the product by planning dimensions for the checker pieces. Communicated to company proper sizing and provided detailed drawing for each piece. Foam models were sent from the dimensions provided. Once they were approved, casting of the checkers took place.

Transport Collectable Car Hauler
Project description: Made out of diecast metal, the JJ Keller Transport Collectable Car Hauler was a collectable premium. The scale is 1/64.
Role in Project: Designed the paint job of the truck to represent the idea of flight and motion. Shapes were used to resemble bird wings.
